From a4e1d552ca17cd3395418094fa338e097f17a7c5 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Christoph Lohmann <20h@r-36.net> Date: Fri, 16 Nov 2012 22:31:36 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] Useragent strings do not count anymore. This is adding some text so every website (especially Google) is fooled to believe us to be compatible. The right way seems to be to add Surf at the end and let the big guys handle their useragent header war. --- config.def.h | 4 +++- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/config.def.h b/config.def.h index 9c1a76a..d227b80 100644 --- a/config.def.h +++ b/config.def.h @@ -1,5 +1,7 @@ /* modifier 0 means no modifier */ -static char *useragent = "Surf/"VERSION" (X11; U; Unix; en-US) AppleWebKit/531.2+ Compatible (Safari)"; +static char *useragent = "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Unix; en-US) " + "AppleWebKit/537.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/24.0.1295.0 " + "Safari/537.15 Surf/"VERSION; static char *progress = "#0000FF"; static char *progress_untrust = "#FF0000"; static char *progress_trust = "#00FF00";
